Naturopathic medicine uses alternative medicine techniques to restore your health and vitality. The main principles of naturopathic medicine are to use safe and effective tools to bring the body back to balance, find the root cause of the disease, teach the patient so they can learn to best take care of their self, treat the whole person, and do no harm.
Naturopathic medicine has a broad scope of practice ranging from doctors who use a lot of energy medicine to those who focus on a functional biochemical approach. I tend to fall into the latter, using objective lab testing and clinical evaluation to assess what is going on. The treatment options that I use include nutrition, vitamin and minerals, herbal medicine, amino acid therapy, CBD, stress management techniques, acupuncture, and dry needle trigger point therapy. ( For more information on how I apply acupuncture and dry needle therapy, please see the pain management page.)
Using this approach and these techniques, I have seen remarkable results to heal gastrointestinal issues (such as IBS, IBD, heart burn, constipation, diarrhea, etc), hormonal imbalances (such as thyroid and adrenal issues, PMS, menopausal symptoms, and infertility), weak immunity or autoimmune conditions, and daily complaints of fatigue and poor sleep.
Naturopathic medicine works great for people of all ages as long as people are willing to make adjustments to their life style, sometimes big, sometimes small.
